Posting AI content responsibly
Slide-Easy makes marketing posts with AI characters that demonstrate your app, clearly labelled. Used honestly, that's legal and effective. Used to fool people, it breaks advertising law and gets accounts banned. This page is guidance, not legal advice.
How Slide-Easy marks AI content
Every post Slide-Easy makes is AI-generated, with fictional AI characters. By default, the app labels each one three ways:
- A caption line that says the character is AI, near the top of the caption.
- Instagram's AI flag. When the app posts through the Instagram API, it sets
is_ai_generated, so Instagram shows its AI label. - A marker in the file. Images and videos carry IPTC/XMP metadata saying they were made by AI (digital source type
trainedAlgorithmicMedia). Instagram and other tools can read it.
Keep all three. Don't strip the metadata or edit the label out.
What else Slide-Easy does for you
- Its characters never claim to be a real customer and never say "I used it and…".
- It writes from what your users say, but it doesn't copy their reviews or present them as quotes.
- It checks every post for testimonials, medical and money promises, and content your brand wouldn't post, before you see it.
- Screenshots of other pages are used as style references only. Their words and pictures are never copied.
- Nothing posts without your OK.
What you need to do, everywhere
- Keep the AI labels on. Say the person is an AI character, at the start of the caption and in the bio.
- Label ads. Posts that promote your product are ads. Put "#ad" or "Ad" at the start of the caption, not hidden among hashtags, and use Instagram's paid-partnership label where it applies.
- No fake reviews or testimonials. Don't present an AI character as a real user, don't post invented reviews, and don't buy or fake engagement.
- No real people. Don't use a real person's face, voice or name, and don't make content about real people without their permission.
- Only material you have the right to use. Only upload screenshots, logos and pictures you have the right to use.
- True claims only. Only claim what your product actually does, and be able to back it up. No health, medical, financial or earnings promises.
- Trademarks and slogans. Some formats nod to well-known phrases. Never use another company's logo, and never suggest another brand endorses you. If a rights holder asks you to remove a post, remove it.
Rules by market
You're the advertiser, so these duties are yours. Slide-Easy's default labels are built to meet them; keep them on.
- European Union (AI Act Article 50, from 2 August 2026). Images, video or audio of realistic people made by AI must be disclosed as AI-generated. Keep the label on posts that reach people in the EU. EU consumer law also bans posing as a consumer and fake reviews.
- United States (FTC). The Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) and the Consumer Reviews and Testimonials Rule (16 CFR Part 465) ban fake testimonials, including ones from AI characters, with fines per violation. Make clear who's behind the account.
- New York (General Business Law § 396-b, from 9 June 2026). An ad with a synthetic performer, a person made by AI, must conspicuously say so in the ad itself.
- India (ASCI). A virtual influencer must tell people upfront and prominently that they aren't interacting with a real human. Put it at the start of the caption or on the image, not only in the bio or at the end. India's IT Rules also expect clear labels on synthetic content.
- United Kingdom (ASA and the DMCC Act 2024). Disclose AI characters wherever people could otherwise be misled. Fake reviews are banned, and a label doesn't fix a misleading claim.
Instagram settings
- AI-generated profile. If the face of the account is an AI character, turn it on: Edit profile › AI-generated profile. Instagram gives undisclosed AI profiles less reach; labelled ones aren't penalised.
- Posting by hand. If you save a post and upload it from your phone, turn on Instagram's AI label when you post.
- Keep your Meta app in Development mode. Add only your own Instagram accounts to it. Don't switch it to Live mode or let other people log in through it.
Platform rules
Instagram, Meta and TikTok have their own rules on AI content, branded content and automated posting. Follow them; they can change without notice. Make each account clearly a brand account for your own product, not a fake personal account. Slide-Easy posts at a human pace (one post a day by default) and asks you to warm up new accounts first.
No affiliation
