Questions
What is Slide-Easy?
Slide-Easy is a Mac app for indie app makers that turns an App Store link and the app's real reviews into a week of Instagram Reels and carousels, rendered on your Mac with labelled AI characters. 7 posts free, then $49 once. More on the about page.
How much does Slide-Easy cost?
Your first 7 posts are free with no key. After that it's $49 once for unlimited posts and apps on up to 2 Macs, with updates for at least 2 years. There is no subscription and there are no credits. See the price.
What does "7 posts free" mean?
You can make 7 finished posts with no key, no card and no account. After that the app keeps working and keeps everything you made, but won't make new posts until you add a $49 key in Settings › Licence. See the price.
Is there a refund?
Yes. If you buy a key and it isn't for you, ask within 14 days for a full refund, wherever you live. Dodo Payments, the merchant of record, returns it to your original payment method. See the refund policy.
Will it run on my Mac?
It needs an Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer) with 16 GB of memory, macOS 15 or later and about 14 GB of free disk for a one-time model download. Using your own face needs 24 GB. To check: Apple menu › About This Mac shows your chip and memory. More on the home page.
Does it work on Windows or Intel Macs?
No. Windows PCs, Intel Macs and Macs with 8 GB of memory can't run it, because the AI runs on the Mac. With no Mac that fits, the done-for-you service makes the posts for you.
Does it do TikTok?
Not yet. Today it makes Instagram Reels, carousels and stories. TikTok is next. If you need TikTok now, see the tools that post to TikTok.
Is it safe for my Instagram account?
Slide-Easy posts through Instagram's official API with a Meta developer app you own, and only after your OK unless Autopilot is on. It labels every post as AI, gives new accounts a 7-day warm-up plan and runs a weekly reach check. No tool can promise Instagram will never limit an account. Details: account safety.
Are the posts labeled as AI?
Yes. Every post is labeled three ways: a caption line saying the character is AI, Instagram's AI flag, and IPTC/XMP metadata in the file. Slide-Easy never presents an AI character as a real customer. See is AI UGC legal.
Will it post without asking me?
No, unless you turn on Autopilot, which is off by default. You can also save each post and share it from the Instagram app yourself. Posting through Instagram's API is in beta and needs a professional account and your own Meta developer app. See the setup guide.
Does anything leave my Mac?
Your posts and products stay on your Mac. What goes out: the posts you approve and short replies to new comments (to Instagram), the licence check, a check for new versions, public pages about your app that it reads, and the one-time model downloads. If you choose Claude or ChatGPT as the writer, what it writes from goes to them under your account. See the privacy policy.
Which AI writes the posts?
By default, a model that runs on your Mac (Qwen3-VL-8B), at no extra cost. If you already pay for Claude or ChatGPT, you can switch the writer to your own Claude Code or Codex login in Settings. See what runs on your Mac.
Does it work for Android apps or websites?
Yes. Paste a Google Play or website link instead of an App Store link. App Store reviews come from Apple's public feed; for Google Play apps and websites it gathers what people say about the problem from the web instead, which works best with Claude or ChatGPT as the writer. See how it works.
How long does it take?
About 185 seconds per finished post on an M4 Pro, retries included. 30 posts take about 1½ hours on an M4 Pro and roughly 3 hours on a base M1–M4. See how it was measured.
Can someone make the posts for me?
Yes. The done-for-you service makes 7 posts a week (Reels and carousels) for one app with Slide-Easy, for $299 a month, delivered by email every Monday. You approve and post them yourself, and can cancel any time. See the done-for-you terms.
Can I use it for client apps?
Yes. The licence allows commercial use for your own products and your clients', with unlimited apps on up to 2 Macs. See the licence terms.
