Licence Terms
Version 1.1 · 30 September 2026. This is the end-user licence agreement for the Slide-Easy Mac app, and the terms for this website.
1. Who this is between
The licensor is Sumant Tirkey, BTM Layout 1st Stage, Madiwala, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560068, India, hello@slideeasy.app, as shown in the Imprint ("we"). The licensee is you. If you use Slide-Easy for a company, you accept these terms for that company too.
You must be 18 or older. By downloading, buying or using Slide-Easy, you accept these terms.
2. Your licence
Slide-Easy is licensed, not sold. When you buy a key, we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Slide-Easy and its updates on up to 2 Macs at a time, for your own products and your clients'. You may use it commercially.
3. Free posts
Without a key, you can use Slide-Easy to make your first 7 posts. After that, you need a key to keep posting.
4. Activation
A key is activated per Mac. To activate and to check it about once a week, the app sends our licence server your licence key, an activation ID, a salted hash of your Mac's hardware ID and the label "Mac". This is how we keep to 2 Macs per key. The app keeps working offline for up to 30 days between checks. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
5. What you may not do
You may not copy, decompile or reverse engineer Slide-Easy, except as far as the law allows it; get around its licence check; share, resell, rent or sublicense it or your key; or use it, or anything taken from it (its code, prompts, templates, characters or images), to build or train a competing product.
6. Open-source parts and AI models
Slide-Easy includes open-source components and AI models, listed on the Licences page and in the app (About › Licences). They're licensed to you under their own terms, including the GPL and LGPL. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under those licences, and section 5 doesn't apply to them. We don't own them; for example, FFmpeg belongs to its authors.
7. Your content
What you make with Slide-Easy is yours, as far as AI-made content can be owned where you live. You give us no rights in it, and it stays on your Mac unless you post it. The starter characters and their pictures are ours and licensed to you for posts made with Slide-Easy. They're fictional; any resemblance to a real person is coincidental.
8. Your responsibilities
Slide-Easy makes marketing posts with AI characters. When you post them, you're the advertiser. You agree that:
- Your Meta app is yours. To post to Instagram, you create and run your own Meta developer app. You're its developer under Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies, and you follow them and Instagram's terms. Keep that app in Development mode, with only your own accounts.
- Your Claude or Codex account is yours. If you use your own Claude Code or Codex login as the writer, Anthropic's or OpenAI's terms apply to that use, and any cost is yours.
- You disclose AI. Slide-Easy labels every post as AI by default: a caption line, Instagram's AI flag, and a marker in the file's metadata. Keep those labels, and add any disclosure the law where your audience lives requires. See Responsible use.
- No fake reviews or testimonials. You won't use Slide-Easy to create fake reviews or testimonials, or present an AI character as a real customer.
- No real people. You won't use Slide-Easy to show or imitate a real person's face, body, voice or name.
- Only material you have the right to use. You'll only give the app screenshots, logos and pictures you have the right to use. Screenshots of other pages are style references only; Slide-Easy doesn't copy them, and you won't either.
- Keep the provenance marks. You won't remove or alter the AI labels or metadata markers Slide-Easy adds, except where the law allows it and nobody is misled.
- True claims, lawful content. You're responsible for what you post, for backing up your claims, and for not posting anything unlawful, sexual, hateful or deceptive, or spam.
We may end your licence if you use Slide-Easy to deceive people.
9. AI output may be wrong
Posts are written and pictured by AI models and checked by an automatic critic, but AI makes mistakes. It can get facts wrong or produce something you wouldn't post. Always look at a post before you approve it. We don't promise any number of views, followers or sales.
10. Updates
We'll provide bug fixes, security fixes and updates to keep Slide-Easy working on supported macOS versions for at least 2 years from your purchase. Install updates when the app asks: some problems are only fixed by an update. A future major version may be sold separately; the version you have keeps working.
11. Payment and refunds
Polar (polar.sh) sells Slide-Easy for us as merchant of record and handles checkout, payment, tax, invoices and refunds. You see the full price before you pay. Refunds are available as described on the Refunds page, and always where required by law.
12. Our rights
"Slide-Easy" and its logo are our trademarks. Everything in the app that isn't your content or an open-source part (section 6) belongs to us or our licensors, including its code, prompts, templates, characters and design.
13. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, in the EU/EEA, the UK, Australia, India or anywhere else. These include the right to software that works as described, and to a repair, price reduction or refund when it doesn't.
We promise that Slide-Easy works as described on this website on a Mac that meets the stated requirements. If it doesn't and we can't fix it within a reasonable time, you get a refund.
14. Limits of liability
As far as the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or unforeseeable losses, such as lost profits or a suspended social account, and each party's total liability under these terms is limited to the price you paid for Slide-Easy.
These limits don't apply to death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, deliberate breach, anything else the law doesn't let us limit, or your statutory rights in section 13.
If you use Slide-Easy for a business and someone makes a claim against us because of what you posted, you'll cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
15. Ending
You can stop using Slide-Easy at any time. We can end your licence if you seriously break these terms; we'll tell you why by email. Sections 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14 and 16 continue after it ends.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of the country where they live. If something goes wrong, email us first; we'll try to resolve it within 1 month. You can bring a claim in the courts of India or, if you're a consumer, in the courts where you live.
There's no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver. We are not obliged or willing to take part in consumer arbitration proceedings.
17. Changes
New versions of these terms apply to future versions of the app. We'll show them on this page, and in the app before they apply. The version you bought under keeps applying to the version you have. Each version has its own number and date at the top; earlier versions are available on request.
